Work the Room (worktheroom.events) is run by Doublet Management Consulting Ltd. of Victoria, British Columbia. This page explains what personal information we collect through this site, why, and what you can do about it.
The only personal information we collect is what you enter in the signup form, typically your email address. We do not ask for payment details, and the event listings on this site do not require an account or login.
To send you the Work the Room email, one issue each Tuesday listing new and changed networking events. We use your details for that purpose only. We do not sell them or rent them to anyone.
The signup form and the email list are provided by MailerLite, a third-party email service provider that stores subscriber details and sends the emails on our behalf. MailerLite may store information outside Canada, and its own privacy policy applies to how it handles that information. The form is loaded from MailerLite, so it may use its own cookies or similar technology.
This site does not currently use advertising trackers or analytics. If that changes, we will update this page.
We keep your details on the subscriber list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any issue, or by replying with the word unsubscribe. You can also ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, by contacting us below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
